"Should we take a small angel round or bootstrap another six months?"

If your bank account gives you 12+ months of runway at current burn AND you don't yet know your unit economics, bootstrap. Money buys nothing if you can't answer 'what does this dollar produce?'.

"How do I know if it's time to hire a CFO?"

You need a CFO when the questions your board asks require someone whose full-time job is answering them. Before that, you need a strong controller and a good part-time advisor.

"We got an acquisition offer at a valuation we didn't expect. How do we think about it?"

Two questions before anything else. One: what would you do the day after the deal closed? If you don't know, you're not ready to sell. Two: what does the buyer see in you that you don't see in yourself? If the answer is 'nothing specific', the offer is speculative.
